  2. I like the Landy 130 outside the Guilford Bank building . I'd have a heap of fun trying to park the length of that in London : not !

Of all the excellent entries here, the Out and About series is my favorite. Even though I'm far removed from SWNE, they remind me to be more observant and appreciative of what goes on in my own corner of the world. The best things in life rarely shout about how great they are.

Bet that BMW has a check engine light now, though.

  6. The name on that funny-looking little green workboat with the outboard motor is the same as my wife's maiden name. And I've never seen a crew cab Land-Rover before.

  7. Oh Muffy. A sublime photo essay. Crashing waves and rainbows, sheep and dogs, and people going about. Your blog is a gift. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving.

  8. That is not the craziest surfer I've seen, but is close. The craziest hard core surfers are in Newport, R.I. My wife and I were walking along the Cliff Walk one morning, and spotted what we thought were a lot of seals fishing. No, they were surfers, surfing where there is no sand beach to land on, just rocks! After catching a wave, they had to pull up abruptly before crashing onto the rocks. It was just nuts!

  10. What a great set of photos! Love the sheep! It does pain me a bit though when lovely trees succumb and are brought down by a lightening strike, high winds, etc. They can make good firewood though! ARH
