How Do You Prepare Your Squash Blossoms?

  1. Truth is, I've never made any effort to prepare them, nor have I ever eaten them. That's a shame, because I've got plenty of squash blossoms out there in the garden. I've found a recipe that uses goat and parmesan cheeses and is baked. If it's a hit, it'll give us something new to look forward to in September. Thanks for the gentle push.

  2. You know, I thought this was an interesting post because the idea of the prep, ingredients and effort required for really great squash blossoms sort of runs against New England sensibilities in my limited experience :)

  3. Simple dip in egg whites, then dredge in grated Parmesan cheese mixed with bread crumbs. Fry quickly in a little hot oil. Use both male and female blossoms. Very quick very easy.
