  2. Lucky you! I am a beekeeper and we had too many late frosts for a light-honey harvest this year. Maybe next year!!

    1. Fascinating beesinink. How does the frost affect the color of the honey? It was my understanding that the source of the pollen i.e., wildflower, orange blossom, buckwheat, causes the change in color. Also, does color determine taste and/or medicinal properties? I always heard that buckwheat, the darkest honey, is the best to ward off colds. Any truth to that?
