In Case You Missed It...

At Mystic Seaport

From wooden boats to wooden pols, and while Barbours are out of fashion at Glastonbury, the best way to do Festivals anyway is to avoid them:

  1. Re the ("sleeper") festival fashion, I still have and wear my 1990s Patagonia jackets!

  2. I suspect there will be plenty of Barbours at Glastonbury, notwithstanding the fashion advice of the Grauniad and its wishful thinking that everyone under 21 is a Trotskyite.

  3. Theresa May, too British for her own good? I was raised with a stiff upper lip influence so I see people who are blubbering about as suspect. My first thoughts are - can I trust him/her. (You can imagine what I think about our over the top emotional culture!) Sure, warmth and compassion are pleasant character traits but beyond that, I begin to lose confidence in a leader, a person. In my humble opinion, emotion should be guided by the brain and not the other way around.

  5. That Guardian article actually made me cringe and kind of confirms what many of us Brits think Glastonbury has become - Corporate London's weekend off.
