  2. You have a good eye, Muffy, and capture your subjects well, especially wildlife in action. Thank you for the eye candy in regular doses!

  3. Your "out and about" photos are my favorite feature on SWNE. Love all the beautiful New England homes. And, of course, the cars/trucks and nature. Thank you for taking me on an occasionally trip to New England from the comfort of my own home here in Georgia.

  4. Let me guess...Madison, Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, possibly Guilford? It's been awhile since I've been out there. New England looks wonderful any time of year...whether sunny or stormy or anywhere in between!

  6. This really is one of the best features of your blog. Thank you for the time it must take to photograph and organize these wonderful pictures. It is appreciated.

  7. Always a thrill for me to see Pileateds! Your photos of them are far superior to mine. Have been enjoying a pair of red-headed woodpeckers currently residing in my garden. Beautiful photos, thank you!

  9. Is that a rabbit enjoying a donut that maybe had sprinkles and chocolate frosting on it? Cute! Like so many others, my favorite posts are your "Out and About" photo excursions...the pictures tell a story, often laced with delicious bits of humor. Thank you for bringing the joy of spring into our digital worlds.

  10. On a day when the daily news leaves me in despair, I check into your beautiful SWNE and feel grounded and centered and, yes, a bit more hopeful, again. I simply cannot thank you enough for this gift.
    Sincerely, Susan in Colorado

  11. I, too, love these posts. On days when I'm stuck indoors at my desk, it's a nice break to scroll through these gorgeous photos and imagine I'm out and about myself!

  14. Superlative as always! Love the birds and rabbit, the water scenes with and without dogs, flowers and flowering trees--and I laughed at 'the Driver Carries No Cash Spent on Horse.' Thanks again Muffy. N from VA

  15. I adore this blog. Enjoy it enormously. I am currently based in Sydney Australia but Brit by birth and dad a seafarer. I look at this blog anytime that I can no longer cope with my reality so, most days.
