In Case You Missed It...

Fishers Island Sound
Wooden Boat Founder Jon Wilson's Family Home, Wheeler Island, (Thimble Islands, Branford, Connecticut, early 1990s)

Wheeler Island today, where the new owners tore down the original house and built this one to look the same(ish).

  1. Bigger is not always better. Personally, I thought the original home was more to scale and more fitting on the island. Something about wooden boats, the sail is different and better, in my opinion. Susan

  3. Interesting article about fox hunting in the UK. Fox hunting in the South is all about the chase. Foxes aren't killed. You'd be surprised at some of the foxes, they act like " they're in on the game."

  4. Ah, Saturday morning coffee and catch up time with the news - such an eclectic array of interesting topics, as always! I forwarded the Wooden Boat trailer to my son in Bozeman, MT, a wooden boat enthusiast, who built his own drift boat and is a long-time WB subscriber. I remember the day when he called home to tell me he met Jon Wilson's daughter while out on the town. You would have thought he met a celebrity!
