  2. It looks like it might have been a nice summer job for college students. Where I went to school, that would have been manning a fire tower. Nice work, if you can get it.

  4. My parents took us on this at about that time! It was thrilling. On a side note, the rate sign is definitely from another era with the "head of family" rate.

  5. Wonderful atmospheric photos. Black& white photography in the hands of some one with a good eye for shade values can't be beat; give me form & cast shadows any day.
