  1. I don't know who they are, but I want them as friends. Love Toblerone. Enjoy!

  2. Funny. I just bought Toblerone (8 pack) at Costco.

  3. Sometimes I treat myself to a Mars bar from Publix. They can be found in the ethnic food section.

  4. Mmmmmmmm...Toblerone...I remember when I could only get these at the airport. It made flying just a little more tolerable.

  5. Good friends, indeed. Chocolate is wonderful, but does not travel well. Brought back loads of Topic bars (chocolate/hazelnut) made by Mars for the UK market. All melted!

  6. I have found exquisite varieties of chocolate at TJMaxx. That is generally around October through December. Check it out next fall. I read an article about TJ and food, and the fine quality/Euro/gourmet distributors who sell to places like Williams-Sonoma love to sell the same exact things to TJ because--get ready--they are quick to pay.

  7. Milka (German) can sometimes be found at Target and on Amazon (although not as many varieties as in Europe, of course.) Double Lait from Cote D'Or is a great French/Belgian chocolate easily found in their supermarkets. Freie 8Norwegian) is also really good.

Although living in Europe I drag back Hershey's because it tastes like my childhood and as many bags of chocolate chips as I can because while I can and do cut up chocolate bars into chunks for cookies it isn't the same taste and consistency as the chips. Also I bring back the peanut butter cups from Trader Joe's...the Europeans just aren't really into the sweet-salty mix.

  8. Having worked in the Confectionery business for half a decade, attending global trade shows and working with the likes of Barry Callebaut (B2B), Hersheys, Ferrero, Perfetti Van Melle, Cadbury, Mars, et al as well as living in Switzerland for a year. My favorite treat is Ragusa, bar none the best I´ve had. I miss my trip to Migros to get a pack of them!!!!
