In those days, designer jeans were nonetheless real jeans. Meaning jeans cut for real life , work and play. How things have changed.
In the early '80s, I had them both, but didn't wear them together. I loved wearing my navy blue espadrilles with a J.G. Hook light green & white seersucker shirtdress cinched with a red & navy striped grosgrain D-ring belt from Talbots. One time I wore that outfit to jury duty.
What is that tube-like thing being fed into the baby? A sausage? Maybe a joke photo?
Brought back memories...espadrilles add a splash of panache to any summer outfit! Yes, what is he feeding that child?
I had Jacques Cohen espadrilles in more colors than I can remember. They usually lasted only one summer. I usually wore them with a wrap-around skirt.
I went out to shop for jeans yesterday. Four hours later and I left empty handed. What a disappointment. Too low slung, too stretchy, too "cool". To put it bluntly, NOT jeans.Muffy, could we open this up as a question for the community? Where will people buy their jeans in 2017?
I can't believe Jacques Cohen espadrilles haven't made a comeback! I liked Calvin Klein jeans in those days, too.
Loved my Jacques Cohen espadrilles! Every possible color! I think he is feeding the child a hot dog - before all of the choking hazard warnings.
