Around Harvard

Dudley House was named for Thomas Dudley (1576-1653), second governor of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Dudley was a member of the first Board of Overseers of Harvard College, and in 1650 the signer of the College charter which established the administrative structure under which the University still operates today.
