Lambing Season

"If it weren't for lambing and sugaring, I'd never make it through this time of year" said Reeve Linbergh, quoted in Richard Brown's The View from the Kingdom.  The two have always been intertwined with each other and March. And the growth of sheep provides one yardstick for the weeks and months on farms across New England.

A few weeks later...

April on another salt water farm...

May (on another)...

Late Spring shearing....

Summer...
